Members of Canadian Sikh community hold forum to discuss recent gun violence

2013-03-13-hateSURREY, BC, Canada—Members of the Sikh community held a public forum Sunday to discuss the recent gun violence that has gripped Surrey and Delta for nearly two months.

The Gurdwara Dukh Niwaran Sahib Society asked residents to voice their concerns and discuss ways to combat what has been described as a low-level gang war.

The panel included Eileen Mohan, the mother of Surrey Six murder victim Christopher Mohan, who has spoken out on gang violence in the past.

The event took place at Gurdwara Dukh Niwaran Sahib Society in Surrey.

Earlier this week, hundreds attended a public forum at Tamanawis Secondary to find out what’s being done to deal with the recent violence.
