Sirsa Cult Chief Appears in CBI Court Through Video Conferencing

gurmeet_ram_rahimPANCHKULA, India—Sirsa cult chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim today appeared in a special CBI court of Panchkula through video conferencing under accusations of raping a follower of his cult, and the murders of his manager Ranjit Singh and editor of ‘Poora Sach’ newspaper Ram Chandar Chhatarpati.

Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) based out of Chandigarh presented its report on a letter written by a Sadhvi (female follower) of the cult. CFSL stated in its report that the materials available for investigations are not enough due to which signatures couldn’t be matched. The court deferred the next date of debate on case to April 20, while Sirsa Cult chief will have to attend the court on May 2 in other two cases.

Special security measures were implemented in Sirsa during the appearance of Sirsa cult chief. The cult followers stopped the traffic on roads for many hours in forcibly.

Sirsa Cult chief is given relaxation for appearances through video conferencing accepting his argument for security measures.

It is noteworthy that Sirsa Cult chief is also facing accusations in making more than 400 cult followers impotent.
