BREAKING: Screening of Movie ‘Nanak Shah Fakir’ Suspended for Two Months in Chandigarh

2015-03-24_nanak_shah_fakirCHANDIGARH, Punjab—Following the Punjab government’s move to ban the screening of anti-Sikh movie ‘Nanak Shah Fakir’ for two months, administration of Chandigarh has also suspended the screening for two months in cinema halls of the capital of Punjab.

The administration has taken such step in view of uprising of Sikhs against the movie.  Sikhs have been hurt by the presentation personified characters of Guru Nanak Sahib, his sister Bebe Nanaki and Bhai Mardana Ji.

Sikhs of other states are also demanding ban on the film in respective states.
