Former Supreme Court Judge: Gandhi was a British Agent

LONDON, UK—This past week, the statue of Mahandas Gandhi was unveiled in the Parliament Square of London.  Made of brass, the 9 feet high statue was inaugurated by the Prime Minister David Cameroon. Finance Minister of India Arun Jetley, Amitabh Bachchan and grandson of Gandhi, Gopal Krishan Gandhi, were also present on this occasion.

Commenting on this incident and sparking a controversy on social media, former Supreme Court judge, Sri Markande Katju said that Gandhi was an agent of the Britishers.

Katju tweeted that Britishers unveiled the statue of Gandhi since he was loyal to the British Empire.

He asked why Britishers don’t erect the statues of Bhagat Singh, Chandar Shekhar Azad and Rajguru who had sacrificed their lives for freedom.  Katju said that in the history of India, elaboration of freedom fighters is rare.

It is notable that Markande Katju declared Gandhi and Subhash Chandar Bose as the agents of the British Empire.
