AAP Draws Impressive Crowd at Hola Mohalla, Absence of 3 MPs Stuns Supporters

: dateline:Following landslide victory in Delhi elections, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is gearing up to contest the 2017 Assembly elections  with great enthusiasm in Punjab. The party drew an impressive crowd at its political conference at Hola Mohalla. However, only one MP i.e. Harinder Singh Khalsa attended the conference and remaining 3 were absent from the crucial event.

AAP conference at Hola MahallaWhile addressing the conference, AAP’s Punjab convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur talked about party’s ‘Mission 2017’. “We have started the legwork for the next Assembly elections. If voted to power, we will root out corruption, drugs and other social evils from the state,” he said.

Absence of Party’s MP Bhagwant Mann, Dr. Dharamvir Gandhi and Prof. Sadhu Singh stunned its supporters who are quite hopeful for outstanding performance of the Party in Punjab assembly elections 2017.

Speculations are being made that the trio did not attend the conference expressing their fury over getting Congress leader Sukhpal Singh Khaira into party’s fold. On Khaira’s possible joining, the Party leaders are divided into two factions which is worrisome for supporters. Chhotepur and other leaders of Panthik background are keen to get Khaira into the fold of Party, however the 3 MPs have shown reluctance.
