“Vangar March” To Be Held Tomorrow in Support of Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa from Jagraon to Ludhiana

LUDHIANA, Punjab—‘Vangar March’ will be held on February 28 by various Sikh organizations and political parties to energize the struggle started by Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa for permanent release of Sikh political prisoners languishing in various jails of India despite completion of their terms.  Daily newspaper ‘Pehredar’ is playing an eminent role in organizing the march.

The March will start from Jagraon and after passing through various villages, it will conclude in Ludhiana city.

It is notable that Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa is sitting on hunger strike for indefinite period since January 16 for the cause of Sikh political prisoners. Due to his firm determination in the struggle, number of Panthik organizations have extended their support to Bapu Ji and his cause.

Today, ‘Pehredar’ editor-in-chief Jaspal Singh Heran held meetings in district Ludhiana and nearby areas in order to ensure success of the proposed march. In the meeting, he raised awareness of the cause taken up by Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa and appealed them to participate the march.
