Investigation of Sikh Genocide of Hond Chillad Completes

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—The Investigation Commission appointed by the former Chief Minister of Haryana, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, has completed the investigation about the massacre of 32 Sikhs in village Hond Chillad during the Sikh Genocide of November 1984. It is notable that the commission was asked to submit the report within six months, but due to slow work by the commission, the investigation consumed more than three years.

Leaders of Hond Chillad Committee said that after receiving answer from the Administration, the judge promised the victims of this massacre to provide them justice.

It is noteworthy that this massacre was exposed by an Engineer of Ludhiana who was working in a company in Gurgaon as a Mechanical Engineer. He was informed about it by his milkman. Engineer Manvinder Singh Giaspura then researched the facts about it and prepared a detailed report on it, which was later exposed in the media. Panthik Organizations and SGPC then took serious notice of this.

To reach the victims of this tragedy, a commission was established under the leadership of S. Manvinder Singh Giaspura. Workers of this commission used to attend every session of commission in court in Hisar. The boundaries of this commission were later extended up to Gurgaon.

During the debate today, S. Kulwant Singh Fauji, S. Harjinder Singh, S. Gian Singh Khalsa, S. Uttam Singh Bathinda, S. Balbir Singh Khalsa, S. Sanjeev Singh of SGPC were present.

After the assassination of Former Prime Minister of India, Indra Gandhi, for her human rights crimes, thousands of Sikhs were massacred in Delhi and across India. Fanatics and criminals of Hindu Community attacked Sikh areas. The massacre of 32 Sikhs in village Hond Chillad was also a part of this Genocide. The commission is expected to present its report soon. It is notable that Retired Justice T.P Garg was leading this commission.
