STAFFORDSHIRE, UK—A STOKE-ON-TRENT City Councillor has praised firefighters for advising members of the Sikh community about fire safety.
In recent weeks, officers from the Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service have visited the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara, in Liverpool Road, Stoke.
The visit, aimed at teaching members of the Sikh community about the importance of home safety checks and fire safety at home, was organised by Councillor Gurmeet Singh Kallar.
He said: “I would like to thank Chief Fire Officer Peter Dartford for his help in organising the visit and I hope to arrange further ones in future.”
