—After organizing the Special Investigation Team (S.I.T.) to investigate the incidents of Sikh Genocide of November, 1984, the Home Minister Rajnath Singh has promised that the victims of Sikh Genocide will be given justice soon. It is notable that the victims are waiting for justice since three decades. Home Minister said this during 68th Establishment Anniversary of Delhi Police.

Home Minister asked Delhi Police to focus on the security of minorities and women. Expressing deep concern about the rising crimes in Delhi, attacks on North Eastern Delhi and crimes against women, Home Minister asked the Delhi Police pay attention towards it. He asked to take necessary steps to eliminate the feeling of separation from the hearts of North-East Delhi.

AAP Senior Leaders Reject Central Government SIT

While the BJP has declared that a SIT would soon be organized to investigate the 1984 Sikh genocide cases, the call has been denounced by several AAP leaders who had taken the initiative to setup a SIT under the Delhi Government.

Bhai Baldeep Singh criticized the newly formed SIT by stating that a three member committee comprising of Government officials can do no justice to such an issue.  He said that “All state agencies failed and that too, failed miserably. Now the central government is ordering a probe but what if the political party which got a thumping majority in the last Lok Sabha elections held in April 2014, the Bharatiya Janata Party and several of its leaders and cadre were also to be found guilty as is alleged? Wouldn’t they try to cover up whatever still remains of their tracks?”

He added that in India, the Supreme Court too has failed to give justice to the people.  “Police and civil administrations respectively played as mere pawns and pliable dolls of goons-turned-politicians and politicians-turned-perpetrators of crimes against humanity.”  He stated that the “Delhi Government should perhaps go ahead with its own SIT. Or perhaps, this case should be handed over to the International Court.”

  1. Any investigation in India is a waste of time. 30+ years and still nothing.

The mainstream political parties and “Supreme Court” are in bed together. Justice is a dirty joke on victims of 1984 Sikh genocide in India.

This must be investigated at the international level.
