The High Court bench, comprising chief justice Rohini and RS Aidlaw, was told by election commission lawyer that the commission did not want to submit its reply on grounds that the allegations leveled against SAD in the petition are “baseless.”
It is pertinent to mention that the petition was filed by social activist and Socialist Party of India (SPI) vice president Balwant Singh Khera, alleging that SAD behave with dual faces—religious and secular—and have two different constitutions which is a violation of the rules and regulations of registration for a political party in India.
