I am not Connected with the Removal of Any Jathedars, Says Badal

BATHINDA, Punjab—Parkash Badal, the Chief Minister of Punjab, dubiously said that he has no intentions to be a part of the appointments or the removal of the the Jathedar of the Takhts.

Badal was talking to the media about his visit to Bathinda where he was monitoring the progress of the ongoing School for Meritorious Students on Badal Road and other projects when he stated that he wanted no part of the removal of the Jathedars.

The Chief Minister stated that he wasn’t connected with the abrupt removal of the Jathedar of Takht Damdama Sahib, Giani Balwant Singh Nandgarh or any other Jathedar of the Takht and that the appointment of removing any Jathedars was on the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC)
