CBI to Call Sirsa Cult Chief to Delhi for Probing

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Special Investigation Cell-2 of CBI headquarters is investigating the case of Sirsa Cult Chief making male devotees impotent. The special cell-2 will call the Cult Chief to come to Delhi for investigation.   

CBI has triggered its activities after the order of Punjab & Haryana Court High Court. It is notable that former cult devotee Hans Raj Chauhan filed a petition in Punjab & Haryana High Court against the Sirsa Cult for making him impotent. The Court asked for a medical checkup of Hans Raj Chauhan in which he was found to be impotent. Hans Raj Chauhan also exposed the fact that more than 400 devotees were made impotent along with him. Haryana Government also submitted a report of 8 such cases. Singular Bench of High Court ordered for a CBI investigation of the case. The management of the Sirsa Cult tried to challenge this decision, but the court rejected their appeal.

CBI has filed an FIR against the Sirsa Cult Chief under article 120-B (Planning Criminal Conspiracies), 417, 326 (injuring someone physically) and 506 (threatening someone with motive of crime). All these articles are applicable under the case of making 400 male devotees impotent in 2000.
