NEW DELHI—Woes being faced by Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa and his aides including Bhai Gurpyar Singh and Bhai Gurpreet Singh Guri are growing as governments are trying their best to derail the movement initiated by them for release of Sikh political prisoners languishing in various jails of India.
With the enforced hospitalization of Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa, his close aides including Bhai Gurpyar Singh who sat on hunger strike to continue the struggle, were forced to leave Gurdwara Lakhnaur Sahib Patshahi 10. Then they decided to shift the strike to Jantar-Mantar, New Delhi. Along with Bhai Gurpyar Singh, Bhai Khalsa’s press secretary Bhai Gurpreet Singh Guri and Charanpreet Singh Bhatia sat on hunger strike.
Sikh24 has just received the news that Delhi police have arrested all of them including Bhai Bagicha Singh Waraich. They have sent the message through whatsapp informing of their sudden arrest and also have appealed to Sikh Sangat to gather at parliament police stations in protest against the act of Police.
This inhumane act by Indian police has reminded Sikhs that they do not even have the right to protest peacefully and democratically. Jantar-Mantar is the place where any citizen of India can stage a protest peacefully, but Sikhs are not being allowed any place for protest.
Hunger Strike Morcha Stopped At Gurdwara Lakhnaur Sahib
As per information shared by Bhai Gurpreet Singh Guri, the Gurdwara adminstration’s attitude changed after the hospitalization of Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa. The government began to pressure the management committee of Gurdwara Lakhnaur Sahib to expel Bhai Khalsa’s aides from the premises of the Gurdwara. Bending before the pressure, the committee forced them to leave the Gurdwara.
Supporters of Bhai Khalsa made arrangements over night to shift the hunger strike to Jantar-Mantar at New Delhi. Bhai Chaman Singh Shah, member of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management committee, helped them to receive permission from Delhi administration to stage the hunger strike.
If we will not make ourselves strong ,we will not study our itihas from 1469 to 13 th jan 2015, we will face tough circumstances from govt . we have made our Gurudwaras places of eating langar only , instead of a place where we should sit and analyse our shortcomings and plan to educate our khalsa panth specially kids and young blood about our itihas,rehat and aweaken our total qualm about last 60 years prabhandhak of gurudwaras have failed in achieving actual purpose of gurdwaras . if we don’t learn from past 60 years and don’t analyse our selves politicaly then we are responsible for our problems . thank You
This action gives proof to the Whole World that the MODI Govt in INDIA is biatantly violating HUMAN RIGHTS and JUSTICE to its Minority Citizens ie SIKHS.
