AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—President of SGPC Jathedar Avtar Singh Makkar has asked the Home Minister Sri Rajnath Singh to give an appointment time to his team. Jathedar Avtar Singh said that the hunger strike of Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa has entered the 44th day. He said that this is a very sensitive issue, so the government should quickly take suitable initiative for the permanent release of Sikh prisoners, who have completed their life sentences but are still imprisoned. President has requested the Home Minister to quickly provide time and venue for the appointment. He informed that our team will also discuss with Rajnath Singh about punishing the accused culprits of Sikh Genocide of 1984.
