Akali Dal and BJP Alliance in Critical Condition

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—The political alliance of Shiromani Akali Dal and BJP is in a very sensitive condition. After the Parliament Elections in Punjab, BJP leaders were attacking Akali Dal with words, but the senior Akali Leadership kept on inhibiting the Junior Leadership from falling into a clash with BJP. But for the first time, BJP and Akali Leadership are going to attack each other on the issue of drug smuggling. PoliticaleExperts say that due to the anti-drug campaign to be initiated by BJP leadership in Amritsar on 12 January, Akali Dal has experienced that BJP’s attitude towards Akali Dal is unfriendly. Keeping these circumstances in view, Shiromani Akali Dal has planned to organize earlier anti-drug smuggling protests on India-Pakistan border stations. Shiromani Akali Dal has played a very clever political stunt by blaming the BJP Governments of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh being responsible for drug production beside Pakistan. BJP is appearing helpless in front of these political stunts of Shiromani Akali Dal.
