In a series of videos released by Madavdas Mamtani, this particular video raises many questions. An Amritdhari Sikh will normally do parkash of Guru Granth Sahib Ji, as they are expected to know how to treat Guru Sahib with respect. However, a non-Sikh doing this seva raises many concerns especially considering Akal Takht says only an Amritdhari Sikh can perform these services in Sangat.
While Sikhs welcome others to read Gurbani as it is the Guru’s common message for humanity, Sikh services are to be led by practicing Sikhs.
Based on the Ardaas in the video some have speculated as to whether this was an RSS function in the overall attempt to make Sikhs appear as a part of Hinduism.
Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji is not as a guru of sikhs only,it’s as a guru of all human beings.But as per the service of daily prakash,sukhasan and ardaas etc.is only to be performed by an amritdhari soojhwan sikh person!!!!
This is a Sindhi Gurdwara – these people are Hindus who believe in Sikhism. Whilst their devotion is commendable, perhaps they should appoint proper Amritdhari role-model Granthis and Kathakars.
WJKK WJKF I live in Melbourne Australian and we have a family hear who brings srops of Guru Sahib Ji in a bus in a shipping container before that it was in a wooden boxes in a shipping container. I have seen them sitting in cardboard boxes under stairs waiting to be picked up. This same family believe that Guru Ji is not Guru Ji until the first hukham nama is taken therefore you can almost do as you like. Guru Sahib ji has been giving to anyone who wanted them this includes many non amritdaihi families and even clean shaven families. Your article is the tip of the ice burg. If you can please write a major article on this issue as this will only get worse with time. WJKK WJKF
Real amritdhari is who is honest earner, compassionate, helping, free from kam ,anger, greed, lust, superstitions etc, you can not claim to be amritdhari without adopting principles. If somebody has symbols only he is still not real amritdhari, he is SYMBOL DHARI ONLY. Guru should not be reserved only for symbol dharis. That is why GGS said I like rehat (practical living) not symbols only. Learn from masands, they were symbol dharis.
I too don’t know who he is but I think he is sindhi type Sikh or you are right it might be an rss,vhp,sri ram sena,hindu jagruti,baj rang dal, shiv sena type function trying to make Sikhs into Hindus but most in the audience don’t look like sikhs but there are few sikhs in there
