High Court Ordered for CBI Investigation Against Sirsa Cult

CHANDIGARH, India—Punjab & Haryana High Court has ordered for CBI investigation into allegations about making male devotees impotent in the Sirsa based Sacha Sauda Cult.  Justice K. Kanan remained unsatisfied by the final medical report submitted by Haryana Government. He ordered CBI to record FIR of this case and submit its first status report to court on 2 March, 2015.

 

Justice Kanan stated in his decision of 25 pages that there are lot of examples to show that whenever the Court summons such cult chiefs, their devotees starts violence. He explained that in more than 3 cases against Ram Rahim, he didn’t appear in court in the last 12 years. Meanwhile, every time Police submit its excuse of chances of the deterioration of a peaceful environment if the Sirsa Cult chief is to be forced to appear in court. The Court said that the law should be allowed to work smoothly, even if the devotees of such accused chiefs of cults commit violent activities. The Court said that the duty of  the police is to tackle such violent elements, not to submit argue in favor of a Cult Chief.
