Bhai Lakhwinder Singh Returns to Burail Jail After Completing Parole

Bhai Lakhwinder SinghCHANDIGARH, Punjab—Bhai Lakhwinder Singh Lakha, who is serving life imprisonment in the Beant assassination case in Burail Jail, on Thursday evening returned to Jail after completing his parole of 28 days.

Before returning to the jail, Bhai Lakha paid obeisance at historical Gurdwara Amb Sahib Patshahi 7th at Mohali. Granthi Singh of Gurdwara Sahib honoured him with a siropa. He was accompanied by his sister Sukhwinder Kaur, brother-in-law Jang Singh, sister’s son Arshveer Singh, sister’s daughter Harsimran Kaur, Akhand Kirtani Jatha leader and Sikh Relief activist Bhai R.P. Singh, Sikh leader Harmohinder Singh Dhillon and Prof. Mehar Singh.

Bhai Khalsa said ‘Gur Fateh’ to the entire Sikh nation through media and appealed all Panth Dardis (well wishers of Panth) to struggle for the release of Sikh political prisoners by uniting at a single platform.

On being asked about the moments he spent with his family, he said the entire nation is his family. He said during his parole, his family faced lot of problems while getting permission for him to go out of station. He said administration granted permission for  him to go to Patiala, Fatehgarh Sahib and Chandigarh but did not allowed him to visit Sri Darbar Sahib Amritsar which he felt disappointed about.
