AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—”The newly launched United Akali Dal can’t impact Shiromani Akali Dal at all, because the people of Punjab have always given approval to Shiromani Akali Dal for serving them,” said Parkash Badal during a convocation held at Government Medical College of Ludhiana. He also ordered the investigation of deaths of children in the hospital of Ludhiana.
Badal was referring to the newly formed nexus of various political organizations in Punjab, which are aiming to oust the ruling party in the upcoming elections.
“United Akali Dal cannot harm the Shiromani Akali Dal, which is the original Akali Dal of the Sikhs,” stated Parkash Badal.
The United Akali Dal came into existence this past week when a gathering was called at Guru Nanak Bhawan by representatives of different organizations. In past, others have tried to counter the Akalis, however not much has been achieved due to lack of vision and strategy. While a number of Sikh leaders have come forward to express support for the alternative Akali Dal, others have alleged that the new political nexus has been setup with different intentions which will ultimately help the Akalis or the BJP.
It will be alternative of badals.
