AMBALA, Haryana—Aides of Sikh crusader Bhai Gurbakhash Singh Khalsa have sent memorandums to president and prime minister of India through Ambala deputy commissioner Arbind Sharma seeking the release of Sikh political prisoners.
They also held a motor cycle march from Gurdwara Lakhnaur Sahib Patshahi 10th where Bhai Khalsa is sitting on fast unto death, to DC’s office in Ambala city.
Prior to this, Bhai Gurbaksh Singh said that Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) president Avtar Makkar has made statements against him two times in last 7 days. “Makkar has termed this struggle as personal, but reality is that request in written were made to him before re-launching his strike,” added Bhai Gurbaksh Singh. Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa further stated that the SGPC President gave no response back to his requests.
Bibi Surjit Kaur, mother of Bhai Gurmeet Singh (who is facing life term in Beant assassination case and is on parole of 28 days) come to see Bhai Khalsa, who was accompanied by All India Sikh Students Federation (Peer Mohammad) president Bhai Karnail Singh, Bhai Amritpal Singh, Bhai Gurcharan Singh Khalsa, Bhai Jarnail Singh president Gurdwara Mardon Sahib, Cricketer Vikram Singh Dhindsa.
