Sri Guru Singh Sabha Southall UK Fundraises for Sikh 2 Inspire

SOUTHALL, UK—Sri Guru Singh Sabha Southall, in conjunction with “Sahib Sewa Society” hosted the Mahaan Gurmat Smagam and annual Charity Kirtan Darbar 2014 at Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha Havelock Road on Saturday 15th November. All money raised at the smagam was donated to the charity “Sikh 2 Inspire” to help continue the ongoing parchaar carried out by Sikh 2 Inspire sewadars in the UK and across Europe.

Kirtan sewa was done by Bibi Manpreet Kaur ji (Hitchen), Bhai Abinash Singh ji and Bhai Sukhjinder Singh ji (Damdami Taksal) whilst Bhai Kuljit Singh ji (Leicester) enlightened the Sangat through Katha. The smagam was rounded off by Bhai Harinder Singh ji and Nirvair Khalsa Jatha, who emphasized the importance of Gursikhi jeevan in today’s times. Bhai Harjinder Singh from Akaal Publishers also showcased the latest video on “Genocide 1984” to the sangat during the Smagam.

Bhai Gurmail Singh Malhi, President, Sri Guru Singh Sabha Southall said, “We are very proud to support the annual charity kirtan darbar and the work it does in helping to raise the much needed funds to do the parchaar in the UK and Europe. Sri Guru Singh Sabha is also committed to the youth and their needs. We are thankful to Sahib Sewa Society for helping to organise this smagam which has been attended by the Sangat in the thousands.”

A total of £1,217 was raised at the smagam which was handed over to Sikh 2 Inspire Sewadars.
