TROY, Michigan, USA—The second annual Dasvandh Week ended this past Sunday, with over $165,000 raised for Sikh organizations and projects. The original goal was $80,000 – however, with the help of a number of Sikh organizations, the goal was doubled.
The following message was shared on Dasvandh Network’s fan page –
“Thank you for a record setting #DasvandhWeek! Because of our generous community, we exceeded our goals and raised over $165,000 in a single week! We are so grateful for everyone that helped #PowerThePanth.”
Dasvandh Network is a not-for-profit, grassroots, crowd-funded platform that allows donors and causes to actively participate in the spirit of Dasvandh—the Sikh practice of contributing one-tenth of a person’s earnings to the common good of the community. That is why DVN is encouraging donors to give with the power of ten in mind during the week-long fundraising event.
