Simranjit Singh Mann: Badal and Modi Silent on Sikhs Being Expelled from Cabinet

simranjit-singh-mann3JALANDHAR, Punjab—President of Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) S. Simranjit Singh Mann said in a press conference that Modi’s policy is to expel Sikhs from Cabinet. He said that it remained a tradition that the charge of Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Finance, Ministry Home Affairs and Ministry of External Affairs is always given to Sikhs. But Modi had broken this tradition, which reflect his behavior towards the Sikh community. He said that Parkash Badal is also silent on this issue. S. Mann said that Punjab Chief Minister’s visit to China was not about fish farming, but was to improve the relation between two countries.

“The Indian Government’s denial from the decision of giving compensation of Rupees 5 Lakh to each victim family of the Sikh Genocide is just a false excuse which is implemented through Election Commission.” S. Mann mocked the working of the Punjab police, strictly condemning the arrest of innocent young ones in Punjab.

S. Mann blamed Parkash Badal that he is going to develop his own fish farm on 400 acres of land in village Shukrana of Fazilka and he will allot 90% subsidy to this farm, but the subsidy rate for fish farming in this area is 50%. S. Mann informed that on 26th November, the party will send relief equipment to Kashmir. S. Jaskaran Singh Kahan Singh Wala (District Rural President, Jalandhar), Sukhjit Singh Daroli Kalan, Sulakhan Singh Shahkot, Manjit Singh Reru (District Urban President, Jalandhar) and Raminder Singh were present on this occasion.
