CHANDIGARH, Punjab—According to credible reports, the Punjab Police has received orders by senior officials to plan for an “encounter” with Bhai Harminder Singh.  Bhai Harminder Singh, alias Nihang, who is alleged to be involved with the Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF) was arrested earlier this month, on November 7.  A serving Punjab Police officer has secretly disclosed that Indian CIA interrogation staff at Jalandhar was ordered by Director General of Police Sumedh Saini to plan the fake encounter of Bhai Nihang before his court appearance, which is scheduled to take place later this week.

Punjab Police is notorious for killing political prisoners through extra-judicial methods.  During “encounters”, prisoners are often killed whilst in police custody and then staged as trying to escape or start a gun battle with police.

As per the tip, Bhai Harminder Singh was to be killed en-route to the court.

Sikh24 was further notified that Bhai Harminder Singh has already suffered immense torture in just days after his arrest last week.  He was arrested after being deported from Thailand in a case relating to the planned assassination of Sacha Sauda cult leader Gurmeet Ram Rahim, and in the assassination of Lily Kumar and Rulda Singh, a right-wing Hindu terrorist.

Just earlier this week, two youth in Ludhiana were murdered by the Punjab Police.  Although the youth had no involvement with the Sikh freedom cause, they were political rivals of the ruling Shiromani Akali Dal.

DGP Sumedh Saini is notorious for having carried out extra-judicial executions of religious Sikhs during the 1990’s.  Saini, along with KP Gill, a former senior ranking Punjab Police officer used horrifying torture techniques to eliminate the pro-Independence movement of Punjab. They have been criticized for atrocities committed on thousands of innocent Sikhs by human rights organisations around the world.
