TARN TARAN, Punjab—Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Giani Gurbachan Singh, visited local Guru Nanak Hospital to meet Singhs injured in the clash between a Sikh faction and devotees of the Noormehal cult. Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh collected information about the clash and the well being of injured Singhs. He said that proper legal action will be taken against the accused culprits and they will be punished for their doings.

He said that the next step for taking action against these cultists will be discussed in a meeting with Sikh organizations that will be held when injured Singhs are better. Giani Gurbachan Singh also met patron of Guru Nanak Hospital, Baba Jagtar Singh and asked him to give free medical services to the injured Singhs. Baba Jagtar Singh accepted this order of Giani Gurbachan Singh with pleasure and announced free medical services to the injured Singhs.

It is noteworthy that Village Jodhpur near Tarn Taran became a battle ground on 28 October, when some Gursikhs went to oppose the function of Noormehal cultists that was being organized. But the Sikhs were attacked with bullets and stones by the police and Norrmehal cult. Punjab police watched silently the firing of Noormehal cultists on Sikhs.
