Oregon State Police said the accident happened on Oregon 35 about 6:15 p.m. The driver, Paritpal Singh, 41 from California, was headed south in a Freightliner truck and trailer loaded with apples when the truck and trailer rolled on a right-hand curve, slid off the northbound shoulder and came to rest.
Singh, who was trapped in the truck, had to be extricated. A co-driver man, who was in the truck’s sleeper berth, was not injured.
Singh was transported by LifeFlight to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland.
