SGPC President Expresses Concern Over Growing anti-Sikh Cults in Punjab

PATIALA, Punjab—President of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee Avtar Makkar said that cults and anti-Sikh agencies in Punjab are always looking for opportunities to erode Sikhi, but with the efforts of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee and other dedicated organizations will never let this happen.

Avtar Makkar was addressing at a function after honoring the winners of 1600 Children based ‘Bachpan Sanbhaal Sikhi Parchaar Lehar’ in Samrala. He asked all the SGPC members to avoid VIP culture and to start preachment of Sikhism. He appealed to all the people to adopt Sikhism by taking Amrit.

SGPC President honored the winners of Religious Poetry, Kavishri, Hymn Singing and written tests, with laptops. He announced to give aid of Rs. 125,000 from Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhik Committe to ‘Bachpan Sanbhaal Sikhi Lehar’ of Samrala.

President of Malwa Education Council Balbvir Singh Rajewal honored the President Avtar Singh Makkar. At last, Jathedar Avtar Singh Makkar instructed Satvir Singh of Dharam Parchaar Committee, Additional Secretary of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee Bhupinderpal Singh and Hardeep Singh Ghungrali, Manager Gurmeet Singh, Manager Jagir Singh, Manager Gurdeep Singh Kang etc. to pay attention towards preachment of Sikhism.

    He looks very much like [B…L]. THE CM of Punjab.
