SGPC Gives Memorandum to Umar Abdulla for the Rehabilitation of Flood Victim

AMRITSAR, Punjab—The SGPC appealed to Chief Minister Umar Abdulla through a memorandum to pay attention towards rehabilitation of Sikh flood victims.

SGPC spokesman and Additional Secretary S. Diljeet Singh Bedi and Secretary Jagjit Singh Jaggi informed ‘Sikh24’ that they gave an memorandum to Umar Abdulla in a meeting and asked him to take urgent and necessary steps for rehabilitation of Sikh flood victims, as winter is oncoming.

The Chief Minister promised that the Government is trying to sort out this challenge and he will make necessary arrangements for it soon. Chief Minister Umar Abdulla thanked the SGPC President Jathedar Avtar Singh and appreciated the relief work done by Sikh Organizations during floods. S.Bedi said that he met Chairman of Awami Action Committee Meer Avice Maulvi Umar Faarookh and urged him to help Sikhs. He informed that relief material is being distributed in Relief Camp at Gurdwara Shaheed Bunga Sahib to every community without any distinction.
