This information was given to ‘Sikh24’ by General Secretary of 41 members committee S. Joga Singh. He said that Manohar Lal Khattar will be taking charge of the Haryana Government, so we hope that he will take care of and defend the rights of minorities.

He informed ‘Sikh24’ that the agenda of the meeting is to introduce Manohar Lal Khattar to the long struggle the Sikhs of Haryana have faced in order to take control of Historical Gurdwaras in Haryana. He said that this committee (Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee) is not involved in any state politics.

He further stated that a Delegate of the Committee will meet Prime Minister Narinder Modi and Home Minister Rajnath Singh in Delhi.

According to information, some members of Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee that are appointed on Adhoq Basis became inactive after the results of Haryana Assembly election. It is noteworthy that Famous Industrialist S. Bhupinder Singh Johar has not attended any meetings of the Committee till now.

  1. Decentralising management of Gurdwaras is desirable to connect local community with it. Centralisation has potential conflict of interest between local community and remote control community.

we need to ensure that CORE of religion is preserved more as GOOD PRACTICE GUIDES than FIAT.
