YUBA CITY, California, USA—An SGPC delegation will be visiting California next week to inaugurate Sri Guru Granth Sahib printing facilities.  Sikh24 has learned from its sources that the inauguration will be part of the annual Sikh Parade events that takes place in Yuba City.

SGPC President Avtar Makkar, Raghujeet Singh Virk, Sukhdev Singh Bhaur and Rajinder Singh Mehta will be part of the SGPC team that will travel to California in the coming days.  We have also learned that the SGPC President, Avtar Makkar, will be accompanied by some relatives, including his son Inderjit Makkar.

The inauguration will take place on the 13 acres of land donated by California based millionaire Didar Singh Bains.  He plans to build a printing facility for Guru Granth Sahib Saroops, along with a charter school and a museum.

We have been told that although the inauguration function will take place next week, the actual setup of the printing press can take some time.  SGPC has requested Didar Singh Bains to manage fundraising for the press.

More details about the SGPC visit will be shared as they become available.
