VANCOUVER, BC, Canada—Manjit Singh GK, who is in BC, Canada,  was approached by BC Sikh sangat in relation to some of his comments made on a trip to UK.  GK had earlier made some comments on Sant Jarnail Singh Khalsa Bhindrawale and had stated that he had a mission to turn the Sikh diaspora living outside of India into a community proud of their homeland – India.

In the videos, Sikh Sangat can be seen questioning him on various issues.  Backtracking on his earlier statements, GK clarifies that he considers Sant Bhindrawale a martyr and that Sikhs had the right to stand up for Khalistan.  He however stated that he was proud to be Indian since Sikhs have played a major role in ensuring the independence of the country.  GK refused to comment on the involvement of Sumedh Saini in the killings of innocent Sikhs across Punjab.

Sumedh Saini is currently the Director General of the Punjab Police, despite number of allegations against him of abusing human rights and killing Sikhs during the 1980s and early 1990s.  Manjit Singh GK is the president of the Delhi Shiromani Gurdwara Management Committee (SGPC) and a representative of the Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal).

Bhai Joga Singh, a well-respected Gursikh from UK, had slammed GK while questioning him on his pro-Indian nationalism policy.  A video recording of Bhai Joga Singh questioning GK was published earlier by Sikh24.
