RODE, Punjab, India—In keeping with the Sikh philosophy of physical fitness and prowess, the girls from the village of Rode, have formed a kabbadi team which has been sponsored by Sikh Relief.
Sikh Relief has provided all the team kits and allowances for extra nutrients and vitamins. The Sikh Charity will also contribute towards any further improvements needed for the Sports Club.
Its senior representatives in India, RP Singh and Satnam Singh watched as the girls won their match against a team from Haryana. The Sikh Relief team were honored to be in the presence of special guest, Captain Harcharan Singh, who is the older brother of Shaheed Sant Jarnail Singh Ji.
At the occasion, Sikh Relief wished the girls the best of luck for their upcoming games.
