The Sundar Gutka App is the most used Nitnem app in the world. It offers many features and is very easy to customize.
The app is available on many mobile operating systems, including IOS (iPhone, iPod, iPad), Android, and Windows Phones and tablets. It offers many Banis (a list is given at the end of this review).
One of the best aspects of this app is the amount of customization it puts in the user’s hands. Users are able to change the font style, font size, are able to read the bani in romanized or traditional ‘connected words’ form, edit the order of the banis, custom lengths, edit the background colors, stay awake in app, airplane mode, jump feature, and many more options.
The ability to change the length of the Bani is a wonderful aspect, instead of controversy over the length of Rehras Sahib, users can simply go into the settings and change the length according to their preference.
Khalis Foundation develops and supports Sundar Gutka and is involved in many projects from youth discussions to apps and Sikh oriented technology. Between iOS, Android, and Windows Mobile, it costs Khalis Foundation a minimum of $4000 USD per year to keep Sundar Gutka and other apps online and updated to work with the latest mobile operating systems. They say that this does not include feature enhancements, new apps, and other sevas they are involved in.
