ATN Airs Live Gurbani from Dasmesh Darbar

TORONTO, ON, Canada— The Asian Television Network International Limited (ATN) (TSX-SAT), Canada’s largest South Asian Broadcaster, announced on March 10, 2014  its live broadcast of Gurbani (Sikh Prayers) from Gurdwara Sahib Dasmesh Darbar, one of the largest Gurdwaras (Sikh Temple) in Surrey British Columbia.

The live telecast began on Sunday, March 8, 2014 with a special 2 hour program on two of ATNs Punjabi language stations i.e ATN MH1 Punjabi, and ATN GET Punjabi. Gurbani discourses air on both channels every Sunday to Friday, starting 8pm ET  and 5pm PT.

Gurbani is the sacred literature of the Sikhs, and is of great spiritual importance to the large Sikh community in Canada. ATN was the first broadcaster in Canada to bring Live Gurbani, and currently offers Live coverage from Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Malton Ontario, Ontario Khalsa Darbar, Mississauga Ontario, and now Gurdwara Sahib Dasmesh Darbar of Surrey B.C.


Gurdwara Sahib Dasmesh Darbar was formed in 1998, and since has continuously held programs to benefit, and promote, the Sikh way of Life by providing regular gurdwara worship services, Punjabi/Gurmukhi language classes for children and courses in Sikh History.
