Harnarayan Singh Talks About the Flames TV, Hockey in Punjabi Launch

CALGARY, Canada—The Calgary Flames officially unveiled their weekly Flames TV Punjabi as part of coverage on the team’s website, the first team in the nation to have coverage in a language other than French or English.

Hosted by Harnarayan Singh, who has been broadcasting games in Punjabi for Hockey Night in Canada for seven years, there will be weekly features for one of the country’s growing demographics.

Punjabi is the third most spoken language in the country, according to the latest census.
