AJITGARH, Punjab—Various Ragis, Kathavachaks, Granthis and preachers conducted a special March from Gurdwara Teg Bahadar Sahib Sector 34 Chandigarh to Gurdwara Amb Sahib Ajitgarh in support of Bhai Gurbakash Singh and sought immediate release of Sikh political prisoners.

The march took place when Giani Gurbachan Singh and Giani Mall Singh were holding meetings with Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Ji.  While conducting meetings with Jathedars, Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa also kept on seeking suggestions from Sangat.  Bhai Gurbaksh Singh was asked by Takht Jathedars to end his hunger strike and release of remaining Singhs would take place anytime soon.  Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa however said that had casual release of the Singhs not transferred into permanent release, would cause him to again kick off hunger strike.

Giving information about upcoming Khalsa Marches, the Bandi Singh Rehai committee has organized a march starting from Sri Amritsar via Roper, Nawanshehar, Fagwara, Jalandhar, Bias and Jandiala Guru.  They appealed Sikh masses to give necessary regard to the March showing saffron flags.

Sri Akhand Path Sahib has also been started on Dec 25 at Sri Akal Takht sahib and its Bhog would take place on December 27. Sikh jatha led by Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa will attend the ceremonies after paying tribute to Chhote Sahibzade and Mata Gujar Kaur Ji at Fatehgarh Sahib.

In addition, Jathedars asked Bhai Gurbaksh Singh to undergo treatment.  Bhai Gurbaksh Singh accepted this “hukam” and was admitted in Fortis hospital finding his health deteriorated.
