Updates from Gurdwara Amb Sahib: Future Plans of Movement Disclosed

AJITGARH, Punjab—Speaking to various Rehai (Freedom) Marches taken out from different cities, Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa appealed to the participants to take amrit and keep kesh.  Bhai Gurbaksh Singh welcomed Sikh Sangat from Mohali, Ambala and New Delhi. After listening to a number of speakers, Bhai Gurbaksh Singh spoke in rising spirits despite having not eaten anything in 37 days.  Sikh Sangat from arrived at Gurdwara Amb Sahib in large numbers to express solidarity with the movement.

Bhai Gurbaksh Singh spoke about the sacrifice of Sahibzadas and Guru Gobind Singh Ji.  Very respectfully, he appealed to Sikhs to not shun their identity.  He said that even though a large number of Sikhs have arrived from different places, only 21 have pledged to keep kesh.  He called upon the Sangat to take pledge and promise to not cut their kesh.

Future Plan of Movement After Release of 6 Sikhs

Bhai Gurbaksh Singh stated that he will only break his fast after 6 Sikhs are released from jails.  He said after their release, the Sikh Sangat will start a movement which will work to release not just other Sikhs, but people of all religions and backgrounds who are lodged behind jails illegally.  He stated that the movement must hold allegiance to Sri Akal Takht Sahib only.  He asked all Sikhs to respect the authority of Akal Takht Sahib and do not question it in any way. Bhai Gurbaksh Singh asked Sikhs to provide full support to all Panthik causes.  He said that whenever there is a need to help a Sikh cause, everyone should provide full support.

Clarification on Parole of Sikh Prisoners

Bhai Gurbaksh Singh stated that getting parole for 45 days is the first step in seeking permanent release.  He said that S. Amar Singh Chahal is taking care of the cases and being a responsible Sikhs, he will make sure all legal processes are handled properly.   He said the parole procedure is normal in these cases as it takes time to complete all paperwork.
