AMRITSAR SAHIB—Today, Bhai Pal Singh (France), Makhan Singh, and Gurmukh Singh, appeared before a Sessions Court Judge in Amritsar Sahib. Also present were their legal team, Messers Bhatia and Saini.  The Amritsar court has convicted Bhai Pal Singh of all charges against him, namely under the Arms Act, the Explosives Act, and the Unlawful Activities Act.

Bhai Pal Singh is an elderly French National, who is held in high regard by Sikhs the world over. Since he was arrested and falsely charged in 2010, he has suffered the most unbearable levels of torture. Recently, he had to undergo an operation for a form of cancer on a wound that had been inflicted during this torture by police. It is also worth noting, Bhai Pal Singh’s driver and friend, Kulwant Singh was set alight and killed in his prison cell under highly suspicious circumstances on the evening before he was due to give evidence against his torturers in a court of law. There are two other cases pending against Pal Singh—one in Hoshiarpur and one in Ropar.
