NEW YORK—A large scale Human Rights Vigil is going to be organized outside the United Nations Headquarters in New York on December 10th at 4:00 PM. The vigil will be held to create awareness of Bhai Gurbaksh Singh’s campaign for justice. He has been on hunger strike since November 14 for release of Sikh prisoners who have already completed their sentences.
Sikh organizations are requesting Sikh Sangat of the tri-state area to take part in the vigil to show solidarity with Bhai Gurbaksh Singh. It should be noted that despite adopting peaceful methods to meet his goals, Bhai Gurbaksh Singh was arrested by the police on trumped up charges.
