Large Scale March Being Planned from Akal Takht To Highlight Bhai Gurbakash Singh’s Justice Campaign

AMRITSAR SAHIB—A peaceful march will be carried out on December 4th from Sri Akal Takht Sahib to highlight the cause of Bhai Gurbakash Singh Khalsa, who has been on a hunger strike for the past 18 days.  Various Panthik organisations will be taking part in the march that will start from Sri Akal Takht Sahib and reach Gurdwara Amb Sahib in Mohali.

Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa has demanded the release of 7 Sikhs who have been lodged in jail despite having completed their sentences.

The hunger strike campaign has reached its 18th day and almost all Panthik Jathebandis have expressed their support towards the campaign in one way or another.  He was finally visited by Giani Gurbachan Singh, appointed Jathedar Sri Akal Takht Sahib and Avtar Makkar, SGPC.

As per a media statement, Dal Khalsa spokesperson Satnam Singh (Paonta Sahib) and Akali Dal (Panch Pardani) leader Harpal Singh Cheema said that the march would begin on the morning of December 4th after performing ardas at Akal Takht Sahib.   It will go through various cities and finally reach Gurdwara Amb Sahib in Mohali by the evening time.

Sikh Sangat should be cautious about the Punjab Government trying to disrupt the march.  In the past, the Government has used its Punjab Police force to disturb such programs.
