AJITGARH, Mohali, Punjab—Ajitgarh additional session judge Manjot Kaur awarded 10 years of rigorous imprisonment to two alleged activists of Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) namely Jagmohan Singh and Darshan Singh, and 3 years to their associate Harpreet Singh in the Rulda murder case. Amarjit Singh was acquitted by the court.

Jagmohan Singh was arrested on Sep 24, 2009. After that, on the basis of intelligence reports, police under the aegis of the then DSP Rajinder Singh, arrested Darshan Singh, Harpreet Singh, and Amarjit Singh from the Cricket stadium here. Police claimed to have seized a pistol of 12 bore and 15 cartridges from them. The police registered the case against them under the unlawful activities prevention Act.

The police claimed that the arrested Sikhs have close associations with activists of the BKI namely Jathedar Wadhawa Singh Babbar, Bhai Jagtar Singh Tara and Bhai Paramjit Singh Pamma.

UK based Bhai Pamma was allegedly the mastermind in the killing of the terrorist Rulda, state president of Rashtrya Sikh Sangat, a wing of the RSS terrorist group organized to merge Sikhs into Hindus by distorting their history and misinterpreting the Sikh principles.
