CHANDIGARH—Sikh youth around the world today recalled “Hawara Thaparh Kand” and marked the day as “11.11.11”, the date which the incident took place, on social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter.

On November 11, 2011, the right-wing Hindu terrorist who attempted to assault the Babbar Khalsa Jathedar Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara outside a courthouse received a stinging surprise when the chained lion fought back intrepidly by slapping and thrashing the attacker despite being shackled.

The Hindu terrorists, belonging to the Akhil Bhartiya Hindu Suraksha Samiti attempted to assault Bhai Hawara and Bhai Paramjit Singh Bheora while they were being brought from Tihar Jail to the Chandigarh court premises by the joint team of Delhi Police and Chandigarh Police.

The scuffle occurred when Bhai Hawara entered the district court complex, and Nishant Sharma tried to attack and shove the Singh. In reaction, Bhai Hawara immediately retaliated and vigorously slapped the Hindu terrorist in return.

In defiance, Bhai Hawara and Bheora then openly challenged the Hindu militants by raising pro-Panthik Khalistan slogans outside the court complex.

Today, Sikhs in large numbers were seen sharing comments, video clips and snapshots of the incident on Facebook which were glorifying Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara and praising him for his bravery that increased the honour of the Sikh nation.
