Europe Based Sikh Scholar Releases Book on Sikhs in World War I

LONDON, UK—The book Sikhs in World War I by Bhupinder Singh Holland was launched in Europe by Gurdwara Maansarovar Sahib, Amsterdam, Netherland.  The book launch ceremony included various guests from around UK and Punjab.  Prominent Dutch citizens also attended the book launch ceremony.

Bhupinder Singh Holland received messages of congratulations and good wishes from various officials, including the Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mr. Mark Rutte and other Government Officials.

The Punjabi version of the book was launched by SGPC President Avtar Makkar last month in Ludhiana.

The author of the book, S. Bhupinder Singh is a resident of Holland and has written two books detailing the history of Sikhs in Europe and numerous articles on the same subject.  His publications include rare pictures of Sikhs in the World Wars.
