Sukhjit Singh Wants to be the First Sikh in Space

Toronto, Ontario—Aiming for the stars, Sukhjit Singh, an Indian citizen, has expressed his greatest desire to be the first Sikh in the world to visit space. Blessed with a scientific mind since childhood, Sukhjit completed his high school studies from Dasuya Punjab and pursued a degree in electronics from Toronto, Ontario. Currently he is working as an Electronics Technician at AlarmForce Industries.
“Since childhood I am very much interested in science. I want to be a scientist, ” said Sukhjit.
He further said that he wishes to explore the science of astronomy based on the teachings of Guru Granth Sahib. Expressing his faith he said that Guru Sahib’s bani has the answer to every unsolved question and he is very keen to explore the universe.
Sukhjit has appealed to the general public to help him pursue his career through online voting organized by Axe Apollo Space Academy. Upon selection he would get a chance to undergo the basic training procedure for an astronaut at Florida Space Camp. An opportunity to go to space would be presented to him if he manages to clear the entire training process.
The online voting competition closes on 30 June.
