Case Registered Against Vulgar Punjabi Singer

NAWANSHAHR, Punjab—On the directions of Punjab and Haryana High Court , the Nawanshahr Police has registered  a case under section 294 against noted Punjabi singer Honey “Singh” for  rendering vulgar songs.

The songs of Honey available on various social networking sites have been considered immoral and disrespectful against women.  His recent song ‘Main Hoon Balatkari’ (I am a rapist) with its lewd lyrics promotes crime against women.

Earlier, a Help Organization in Punjab had lodged a complaint on 1 January 2013 with SHO Nawanshahr which was sent to District Attorney for review.  However seeing the delay in action General Secretary of organization Parvinder Singh Kitna  filed a writ in High Court under section CWP N0. 3517 yr 2013.

Now arrangement are being made for the arrest of the singer said Satpal Singh Bhangu (Nodal Officer SP) and Raj Kumar (Inspector).
