—A video has surfaced online which shows Gurcharan Singh Jeon Wala of Toronto, Canada causing sacrilege to a pothi (steek) of Asa Ki Vaar during a program organized at his native village in Bathinda. Jeon Wala has been in center of controversies for his notorious remarks over the Amrit Sanchaar (Sikh baptism), institute of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and authenticity of writings of Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
The following video shows Gurcharan Singh Jeon Wala putting a pothi containing arth of Asa Ki Vaar under his feet while he puts on his glasses.
People like Jeon Wala have tried to cause rifts within the Toronto’s Sikh community by needlessly stirring controversies. He has however survived action by Sri Akal Takht Sahib for his notorious remarks over Sri Dasam Granth banis, including Sri Jaap Sahib. In 2011, Jeon Wala wrote a comical poem mimicking Sri Jaap Sahib.

In another video related to the incident at his native village, while answering questions of Sikh Youth, Jeon Wala refers to former head granthi of Sri Darbar Sahib as “haramzada”. He also tries to insult the youth and ignores their questions while terming them as Sikhs of Bhai Randhir Singh and Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji. He states that doing nitnem is a waste of time and openly claims he does not read Chaupai Sahib despite being an “amritdhari”. Jeon Wala had used a similar profane word on Toronto’s Sur Sagar TV during a debate on Sri Dasam Granth, in which he was washed out by Toronto Gursikhs, namely, Bhai Sukhbir Singh and Bhai Sukhmander Singh of Gurdwara Tapoban Sahib.

Sikh24 Editors request Sikh Sangat living worldwide to boycott such pseudo-parchariks who have no respect for Gurbani. Sri Akal Takht Sahib, along with the entire Sikh community needs to take strict action against such people and stop them from misleading Sikh community.
